Do you hear a bump in the night? Loud noises in your attic or crawlspace? Rodents are nocturnal. These pictures were taken with a trail camera at one of our customers homes. The rodents were burrowing under a slab to gain entry at night.

East Cooper residents have been dealing with rodent issues for decades but the problem seems to be getting worse. New subdivisions, shopping centers and the increase in population in our area has destroyed the rodents natural habitats. They now seek a new home in your crawlspace, attic, or even your living space.

Rats and other rodents also cause considerable damage to property. They cause almost 1 billion dollars in damage in the United States each year. Residents in the East Cooper area have seen rats chew through electrical and plumbing lines as they navigate their way through attics and crawlspaces. They create entries into the home by gnawing holes in foundation vents, soffits, or garage drywall. They climb trees or walls and make their way onto the roof where they look for access to an attic. They are able to squeeze into a hole the size of a quarter to enter your home. Once inside, they leave droppings or unwanted smells wherever they may travel.

If you hear unusual noises in your attic or crawlspace please give us a call. We can perform an inspection to determine where the rodents have gained entry.
